Problem Solving 101

Do you sometimes feel overwhelmed when trying to solve a problem? What if there was a simple four-step process you could learn to solve problems?The focus of this course is to provide first-year students with opportunities to practice problmem-solving to find solutions to common problems. Students will engage in small group practice to solve common problems which allows students to better develop essential skils needed to accomplish academic and and career goals.

Head Start

Looking to get ahead? Looking for a 3-credit course taken in the span of one week? If so, Head Start is for you! This intensive in-person course is designed for students looking to complete GPS in one week before the regular semester begins. Students will learn all about the expectations and rigors of higher education, build community with their peers, practice important academic skills, get connected with resources across campus, and prepare for success at UCCS. *This is a pre-term one week course.
