Professional Development

The Gateway Program Seminar strives to provide all GPS faculty with professional development. Annually, GPS holds a faculty development retreat designed to provide all faculty with the opportunity to convene, off campus, at an event designed to re-energize and re-invigorate faculty for the upcoming year. Additionally, faculty professional development is provided on a monthly basis.

Additionally, many of our GPS faculty teach in the University Studies Program here at UCCS. University Studies exists to provide students with excellent academic and transitional support services as new members of the UCCS campus community. University Studies is a brand-new experience designed to help students achieve their academic and co-curricular goals while exploring more about themselves and creating their professional and personal futures. Those courses include: Leadershop, Finding Your Way: Healthcare, Finding Your Way: Business, Finding Your Way: STEM, Finding Your Way: Engineering, and Finding Your Way: Social Science. GPS holds and information debrief session each December.
