Apply to teach a GPS course!
All faculty interested in teaching for the Gateway Program Seminar will need to complete a GPS Instructor Application. All application materials must be submitted before faculty schedules are created and faculty contracts are distributed.
Returning faculty are required to submit an Existing Course Form to provide GPS administration with updated information. For courses with one or more GPS faculty, only one person is required to fill out the Existing Course Form. Returning faculty interested in proposing a new GPS course, will need to fill out a New Course Proposal Form. All new courses will be reviewed by GPS Administration.
New faculty are required to submit a GPS Instructor application, including an updated CV. Course assignments will be given based on need, availability, and priority deadlines. New faculty are subject to an interview. New instructors must complete the new course and new faculty forms.
Please note: Teaching multiple courses per term is not guaranteed for visiting lecturers or full-time UCCS faculty--assigned courses are based on need and availability. UCCS staff are only permitted to teach one course, per term--based on need and availability.
Application does not guarantee acceptance or a teaching position. All new and existing faculty must apply every time they desire to teach a GPS Course.

GPS Instructor Application
All new and returning GPS faculty will be required to fill out the GPS Instructor Application. This includes contact information and updated curriculum vitae/resume.
GPS Existing Course Form
All courses need to be updated. All faculty will need to complete the GPS Existing Course Form. This includes course logistics (time, enrollment capacity, teaching team etc.) and updated course information (course description). Only one form per course needs to be submitted teach semester it's offered.
GPS New Course Proposal
Any course that has not been taught through GPS will need to complete the GPS New Course Proposal form. This includes course logistics, and how the course aligns to the mission of the Gateway Program Seminar and Compass Curriculum outcomes.
